Zahid is a dedicated environmental enthusiast with a Bachelor’s degree in Geology and a Master’s degree in Applied Geology. Additionally, he recently graduated from Niagara College’s Environmental Management and Assessment program and is currently enrolled in the Ecosystem Restoration program. He has valuable experience in working as a GIS expert on various environmental projects, including: Identifying landslide-prone areas in the Western Ghats (India), Groundwater Development in the Thar Desert and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for a government rail project. In September 2024, Zahid joined Land Care Niagara’s Volunteer Corps, inspired by their exciting projects in environmental conservation. He’s passionate about using his skills to make a real difference by contributing to meaningful projects, connecting with like-minded people and learning more about the ecosystem restoration field.
