Barry began his career after graduating Niagara College’s Environmental Technician program where, upon graduation, he began working with the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA) conducting natural area inventories across the Niagara Region. This would eventually lead to a position in the environmental restoration department at the NPCA. After many years in the restoration department, he took on the role of Project Manager at the Niagara Restoration Council where he gained valuable environmental not-for-profit knowledge and experience. Eventually he relocated to northern Alberta where he worked as an Environmental Consultant in the oil and gas field and spent time exploring natural areas such as Jasper and Banff. After spending a few years in Alberta Barry has moved back to his home province of Ontario and joined Land Care Niagara in the position of Stewardship Director. He enjoys working with all of the amazing landowners, expanding partnerships and relationships to enhance the natural state of the Niagara Region.
Outside of work he enjoys various outdoor activities, fitness, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and his pup.
