Community Programs

[vc_row][vc_column][title type=”special-h4-left”]Technical & Financial Support – Can We Help You?[/title][vc_column_text]Annually, Land Care Niagara’s community programs serve various clients such as private landowners, municipal governments, private companies, community groups and other local not-for profit organizations. Many calls are dealt with directly by LCN through information packages and discussions with landowners and agencies, but some calls are referred directly to experts within and outside the Niagara Region.

At LCN we have access various agencies and organizations involved in land, natural resources and the environment in Ontario. This includes access to specific programs, contact names and technical information these groups may have or currently offer.

Land Care Niagara financially supports action-oriented projects that promote wise land management in Niagara. This includes funding for plant material for properties that support the Niagara Natural Heritage Corridor program. This unique program reaches more than 500,000 students across North America annually. Since 2008, the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority in partnership with local environmental organizations has offered this program to high-school students throughout Niagara!

Since 2011 Land Care Niagara had offered a scholarship to a grade twelve student who resides in the Niagara Region, was an active member of their school’s Niagara Envirothon team and continuing their post-secondary education in a college or university environmental program. 2017 was LCN’s final year for offering this scholarship.
