Envirothon Scholarship

Envirothon Scholarship

Envirothon Scholarship

April 17, 2017

The 2016 Envirothon Scholarship goes to…Sara and Colin! This scholarship goes towards their post-secondary studies in the environmental field- which they have already started!

LCN committee member, Catherine, and Stewardship Manager, Olivia, awarded the cheques on Sept 28th, 2015.

The Canon Envirothon is North America’s largest high school environmental education competition. This unique program reaches more than 500,000 students across North America annually. Since 2008, the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority in partnership with local environmental organizations has offered this program to high-school students throughout Niagara!

Since 2011 Land Care Niagara has offered a scholarship to a grade twelve student who resides in the Region of Niagara and is an active member of their school’s Niagara Envirothon team. We currently offer two $500 scholarship awards. The individuals must be continuing their post-secondary education in a college or university environmental program.

For more information about the Niagara Envirothon program contact Kerry Royer at kroyer@npca.ca.
